Yuzvendra Chahal had come up with a hilarious statement after being hit by three consecutive sixes by Yuvraj Singh on Thursday. The Royal Challengers Bangalore spin spearhead was being taken to the cleaners by the Mumbai Indians star. Yuvraj started slowly and was batting on just 5 runs off 8 balls when Chahal came on to bowl the 14 over. Sensing an opportunity to free his arms, Yuvraj went for the kill.
The veteran batsman hit the leg-spinner for three consecutive sixes to roll back the clocks, reminding everyone of the game against England in the 2007 T20 World Cup when he had hit Stuart Broad for six sixes in an over. The first six went over mid-wicket while the second was sent straight down the ground. Yuvraj then played a glorious lofted shot towards long on to hit the third consecutive six.
After the game, Chahal had hilariously said he felt like Stuart Broad after being hit for three sixes by Yuvraj. “When he (Yuvraj) hit three sixes, I felt like Stuart Broad. You know he is a legend batsman and I backed myself. I had to bowl a bit up, might be a chance to get him out because it is a smaller ground.
So that time, I thought of bowling my best delivery and he got sixes. That you cannot help and hence I bowled a wider googly,” Yuzvendra Chahal had told reporters in the post-match press conference.
